Sailing boat rentals

Follow the wind

It’s from a sailing boat that the unusual landscapes of the Bay are best enjoyed. Holidaymakers who let themselves be tempted will enjoy rare pearls which are accessible by boat only: Île aux Oiseaux, Banc d’Arguin, the channels, fine sandy beaches… and many other hidden treasures.

The Bay on a sailing boat: an adventure worth experiencing

The Bay is an ideal location for sailing boats

Sailing is the best way to discover the Bay of Arcachon. There is almost always a slight breeze to push you forward. It’s a sheltered stretch of water and ideal for learning or progressing, as well as getting the most out of the Bay’s exceptional landscapes. Holidaymakers who let themselves be tempted can enjoy rare pearls which are accessible by boat only and experience the emotion of an unforgettable sunset.

With or without a skipper?

You can choose between the freedom of sailing alone or with a skipper. The water sports professionals of Arcachon have a broad range of boats on offer: small boats like 420s or Hobby cats, to sailing boats of all sizes, as well as catamarans or maxi catamarans.

Outings can be organised for a day, a weekend or a week depending on the service provider. Customizable and bespoke services are available on board, for example oyster-tasting.

What’s the best time to rent a boat?

The Bay has a favourable climate. It is possible to rent a sailing boat all year round, but the most pleasant time is from April onwards, unless you wrap up very warmly.
