Galerie Téthys

  • Art Gallery
17 Rue François Legallais, 33120 Arcachon
Galerie Téthys presents a collection dedicated to the decorative arts of the second half of the 20th century. It explores this fertile period from the 50s to the 70s through an eclectic selection of French, Brazilian, Italian and Scandinavian objects and furniture.

From Charlotte Perriand to Jean Prouvé, iconic pieces by the great names of post-war design sit alongside more confidential productions, such as Pierre Cruège?s organic mahogany furniture or Claude Prévost?s graphic wool tapestries.

The gallery specializes in lighting, ceramics and Bordeaux painting.

It presents innovative "lighting fixtures" by young designers and publishers of the period, such as Pierre Guariche, Michel Buffet, Pierre Disderot, Jacques Biny and Robert Mathieu. Very rare lighting fixtures are offered for sale.
